Dead Boy Robotics + The Machine Room split single release

Great things are happening in Edinburgh. With many great bands and artists waiting for their moment to shine, it can only be fantastic news the arrival of TAPE and their Singles Club. Far from being some sort of dating service, TAPE is a boutique recording studio with a list of gear that will simply make you faint. Their Singles Club is meant to release a split vinyl showcasing two rather excellent bands who deserve all your attention and love.

And so it is with Singles Club #1 that the lights are focused on two fantastic Edinburgh bands. The first is one you should already know as it is Argos favourite Dead Boy Robotics, who return with a brilliant new single titled “Ever”. It’s raw, melodic and powerful, the Edinburgh duo continue to work and improve their signature electromess sound achieving some fantastic results.

On the other side of the record we will find a nice surprise. It’s a new Edinburgh band called The Machine Room and their single is “Girly”. Electronica, Polysix tones and romantic pop, these are the credentials of this new band who are currently working on their debut album, to be released later in the year by TAPE.

The split record will be released on May 23rd, an unmissable add to your vinyl collection. The two bands will be also embarking on a mini-tour to showcase their respective singles, and this is where you can catch them:

19th May - Nice n Sleazy, Glasgow
20th May - The Store (GRV), Edinburgh
21st May - Madhatters, Inverness
22nd May - The Social, Dundee
