Ladies and gents, please give a warm welcome to your new favourite Scottish band, This Silent Forest.
Hailing from the city of Glasgow, this sextet has found the perfect formula for combining epic post-rock compositions with delicate, classy Scottish folk. After spending the last months of 2010 to record their credentials, the band is now getting ready to present itself to the world with the debut of their first single, titled Falter Discover.
A wonderful tempo, brilliant string arrangements and a couple of great voices are the essence of their single, boasting an amazing power and personality from the very first second.
Falter Discover will be released on March 7, so make sure to write it down somewhere. Meanwhile, don’t forget to check out the band’s Bandcamp and Soundcloud pages to hear for yourself what this band is capable of.
This Silent Forest will be playing a launch gig over at Stereo (Glasgow) on March 3. Supporting them will be Donald Macdonald, The Islands and Blochestra. 7pm, tickets going for £3 in advance, £5 at the door.
